I am a lifelong aficionado of good food, fine wines and great entertaining.  In my past life as a Wall Street executive,I travelled,dined and entertained all over the world. I also come from a family of avid gourmets who from an early age, implanted in me the love for the art of cooking and entertaining.

My cooking career began after my marriage in 1969 and spans 40 years of testing and perfecting recipes from my family as well as various cookbooks and magazines. Having lived in many parts of the US and abroad, my cooking repertoire includes recipes from Cuban to French, with a little Southern, New England, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, and Indian dishes in between! 

My house has always been a Mecca for family and friends to gather and enjoy good food, fine wines and the good life. This blog is in memory of those good times and is dedicated to my daughter whose love and support have been indispensable, particularly during my fight with cancer a few years ago.

I live on a lake in Georgia with my daughter, a Westie and a Lab.   Lindaraxa is my main food and entertaining blog whilst  My Kitchen By The Lake shares our country life as well as some of the recipes, mostly from other sources, that constitute my recipe box here at the lake.
